EIRENE licence

The use of the EIRENE-NGM and the related data and tools are regulated by the EIRENE public licence (EPL) one can download by the following link. It allows you to use and develop the EIRENE as and open source package on 2 layers of effect as a basic or associated developer (BD or AD). In both cases one has to complete the registration (see the button on the left) ensuring you are a member of the public funded research. A minimalistic exception to that is that AD communities do have limited rights to provide the services to the commercial organisations providing the manual, executable or ready runs only.

This web-site (www.eirene.de) lists the AD communities and their contact persons.

To become a Basic Developer (BD) and get access to the limited access parts of this website one needs to complete the following form (A1).

For the members of the following organisations, who have provided the general form B2 (please contact PI for the details) it is sufficient to complete just the simpler form B1:

NumberOrganisation
1 Forschungszentrum Juelich GmbH, IEK-4
2 CEA/CADARACHE - IRFM: Commissariat a l'energie atomique et aux energies alternatives
3 Tokamak Energy Ltd
4 Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ASIPP), Hefei
5 W7-X Division, Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics
6 Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL)
7 Institute of Plasma Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences
8 Fusion Energy Division, ORNL (Oak Ridge, USA)
9 DIFFER - Dutch Institute for Fundamental Energy Research
10 Aalto University (Finland)
11 Thea Energy Inc.
12 KU Leuven (Katholieke Universiteit), Belgium
13 Department of Fusion Systems Research, Rokkasho Institute for Fusion Energy (Japan)
14 National Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS), Japan
15 Department of Complexity Science and Engeneering, Graduate School of Frotier Science, The University of Tokio, Japan
16 Graduate School of Engineering, Nagoya University, Japan
17 Plasma Research Center, University of Tsukuba, Japan

The EPL implies that the FZJ origin of the code is to be recognised, for instance the following statement in the acknowledgement of the publications involving the use of EIRENE (or related data and tools) and reference are mandatory:

“The results are obtained with the help of the EIRENE package (see www.eirene.de) including the related code, data and tools [Reiter05].”
