Why is there no download for the EIRENE code?

The EIRENE code primary application domain is linear kinetic transport, mainly to study interaction of neutral gas and radiation with magnetized plasmas.

 The EIRENE code is a permanently updated “moving target”, and developed at FZ Juelich mainly for own scientific applications.

The EIRENE team at FZ Juelich is not a “code provider”. We do not offer technical and 3^rd party support on a large scale, which would certainly be required for such a complex numerical tool.

For this reason no download of EIRENE is foreseen.

On the other hand EIRENE is an open source code and we certainly freely provide and jointly employ it, within projects and collaborations of mutual interest.
